I have a few questions that I've never asked in my life:

So what's in style this year?
What’s popular these days?

When I buy clothes, trends are not something I consider at all. I’m only interested in finding the essential pieces in the genres I love (American casual, American traditional, classic) and getting them in the right order.

For someone like me, a hunting jacket isn’t the first outerwear piece you’d start with, but it’s definitely one that should be in your wardrobe. Whether it’s a 40s-50s original vintage Woolrich or an 80s-90s Polo Ralph Lauren, it doesn’t really matter.

The Polo Ralph Lauren wool hunting jacket I’m wearing today has been given a patchwork finish at the hem. The previous owner might have found it too bothersome to fix a tear, so it ended up with this cool, RRL-like touch.

Anyway, a hunting jacket is a really versatile item. You can wear it with a sweatshirt and a down vest underneath, and it’ll keep you warm right up until the brink of winter! So, feel free to enjoy it. Thanks as always.

A space where fresh flowers, Deep-rooted Tree magazine, Native Joseon, and Native American cultures all blend together. A space where vintage, thrift, expensive clothes, and affordable clothes coexist. A place that rejects the arrogance of vintage and the insecurity of thrift.

Fashion and culture are great, but above all, what matters most is making a living for all of us. It's not about becoming rich—I’m just curious about how far the bowl of the watermelon can stretch.

After busying myself with events through August and September, sitting at my desk in the shop now brings me a sense of calm, both in body and mind. This is why I love coming to work even on my days off.

The flowers Theo arranged were truly works of art. The yellows, oranges, and the greenish browns reminded me of the end of summer. I wonder what kind of month September will be for Soobaak. With hopeful anticipation, I hang the autumn clothes on the racks.

Hermès is one of the few luxury brands that Soobaak deals with. While we do curate pieces from the 90s to the 00s when Margiela was the creative director, it doesn't mean we obsess only over those.

There's something about Hermès, perhaps because it's still a family-run business, that exudes both sophistication and wit. Especially in the late 90s and early 00s, Hermès had designs that intertwined contemporaneity and modernism, which we absolutely love.

Of course, vintage Hermès from the 1930s tells a slightly different story – very classic indeed. Yet, even then, they had an undeniable allure, producing rectangular watches of such grand size. Compared to the typical sizes of that time, they were about three times larger, quite a bold move.

During the 1920s, along with tonneau cases (resembling tortoise shells), rectangular cases were also in vogue, but such big sizes were exceptionally rare.

Last Saturday, I collaborated with a watch YouTuber I admire on the theme of 'Watches that don't seem budget-friendly but were bought based on taste.' So, what does that mean? It's not about saying, "Oh, you bought this because your budget was limited to $2000!" but more about realizing, "Wow, you bought this $2000 watch because it reflects your taste!" Buying according to budget is nothing to be ashamed of, but anyway... This watch falls into that category – it's not about market value; it's about personal taste!
